Week 12 Top 30
After the week of powder, we didn’t see temps get above freezing in most places which is great for snow retention. Most mountains continued to open terrain while others remained completely open. For those who are new or forgot how these rankings work, think of it like the NCAA Top 25. Mountains move up the list based on snowfall, opening terrain, how well they hold onto terrain after major weather events and overall reputation among other factors. They can move down after clo

Jay Peak reaches 100% open, Pico opens with a bang, and a Rhode Island pow day shake up the rankings! 1. Jay Peak (=) 2. Killington (+4) 3. Bretton Woods (+7) 4. Sunday River (=) 5. Pico (NR) Jay Peak has the most snow and is the only mountain to reach 100% open so it looks like the only thing that could dethrone them from first is a week of wind hold. Killington has opened up terrain on Skye Peak and Bear Mountain this week and almost has 100 tr
