Week three was certainly a wild one which saw rain close some terrain but ended with some snow across the northern part of the region.


1.       Jay Peak (+3)

2.       Stowe (-1)

3.       Smugglers Notch (+15)

4.       Sugarloaf (+2)

5.       Killington (-2)

Jay Peak is by far the best option this week with over 100 inches of snowfall on the season and nearly 40 trails. Stowe and Smugglers Notch offer similar snow conditions but Stowe has more than double the terrain open right now. Sugarloaf is the best option in Maine with a few options off the summit with Sluice, Narrow Gauge, and Kings Landing. Killington offers the same terrain as last week but that is still more than most resorts.

7.       Sugarbush (-5)

8.       Waterville Valley (+11)

9.       Sunday River (-4)

10.  Stratton (+11)

Loon continues to open terrain in their summit area while Sugarbush lost a few trails off Lincoln Peak but the skiing is still good. Waterville opened for the season with all of High Country open and a total of 17 trails. Sunday River continues with their current terrain while Stratton opened with about 10 trails and have gotten up to 17 in the recent days.

12.  Bretton Woods (-1)

13.  Cannon (-4)

14.  Mount Snow (-4)

15.  Bolton Valley (-3)

Okemo opened some beginner terrain which is good for ski school while Bretton Woods added Crawford’s Blaze and the gondola this week. Cannon has four trails off the summit quad while Mount Snow kept the same terrain. Bolton Valley extended operations to the summit of Vista Peak.


16.  Black Mountain NH (-1)

17.  Bromley (+13)

18.  Jiminy Peak (-5)

19.  Wachusett (-5)

20.  Mad River Glen (-4)

Black Mountain is coming fresh off a settlement and is open tomorrow with top to bottom skiing. Bromley opened for the season with two trails while Jiminy Peak and Wachusett continues with similar terrain.
