We have a new number one in this week’s Top 30! Since we won’t know how much damage today’s weather system did to the mountains as most were closed or had limited operations we’re taking writing this as if it was Sunday night.

1.       Mad River Glen (+3)

2.       Stowe (+3)

3.       Sugarbush (-1)

4.       Killington (-1)

5.       Jay Peak (-4)

Ski it if you can, Mad River Glen reached 100% open this week so you could ski it all this week! Stowe opened more trails up on Spruce Peak including Whirlaway and Spruce Line which offer some great advanced terrain. Sugarbush, Killington, and Jay Peak were all very close to getting the top spot this week but had some terrain close this week while the Spruce Peak area at Stowe has more to offer than South Ridge at Killington.

6.       Smugglers Notch (+8)

7.       Bretton Woods (+4)

8.       Loon (-1)

9.       Bolton Valley (+4)

10.  Sunday River (-2)

What a week for Smuggs who opened up almost all of Sterling and Madonna before the weather system came and closed a bunch of trails. Bretton Woods gets ahead of Loon as they saw more glades open up along with some West Mountain trails like Oscar Barron’s and Joseph’s Run while Loon had Twitcher and Jobber open. Bolton had 100% of Wilderness and Vista Peaks open while Timberline Peak remained idle. Sunday River added White Heat and some glades in the Oz area.

11.  Waterville Valley (-5)

12.  Sugarloaf (-3)

13.  Saddleback (+2)

14.  Okemo (-4)

15.  Cannon (-3)

Waterville drops five spots but its not really their fault as they added a couple trails off Green Peak. Sugarloaf drops a little as they really only added Whiffletree. Saddleback gets a bump after adding Tight Line and a few glades off the Kennebago Quad while Okemo and Cannon didn’t really add or lose much terrain.

16.  Stratton (+2)

17.  Gunstock (=)

18.  Bromley (+1)

19.  Mount Snow (-3)

20.  Attitash (+8)

Stratton has a rotating option of trails in the Sun Bowl area while Gunstock held firm with 35 trails. Bromley hops Mount Snow after adding more advanced terrain and some glades. Attitash shoots up the board after adding Tightline, Trillium, Quiver, and Arcade this week.

21.  Sunapee (=)

22.  Pleasant Mountain (=)

23.  Jiminy Peak (+1)

24.  Magic Mountain (NR)

25.  Pico (=)

Sunapee stays ahead of Pleasant Mountain after they opened a few more trails in the Sun Bowl area while Pleasant added Upper Appalachian in the Sunnyside area. Jiminy was able to get over 30 trails open while Magic offered skiing and riding off the summit for the first time this season! Pico regained a lot of trails off the Outpost lift while adding a few at the summit.

26.  Pats Peak (+1)

27.  Ragged (-1)

28.  Mount Abram (NR)

29.  Wildcat (NR)

30.  Mohawk Mountain (NR)

Pats Peak jumps Ragged as they have all of Cascade Basin open while Mount Abram joins the rankings after adding Fearless Leader and Lower Fractured Fairy Tales. Wildcat has opened the lower Polecat trails while Mohawk Mountain saw about 10 inches of snow this week in Connecticut and added Arrowhead and Wildwood to their trail count.
