Week 13 Top 25



Top 25

1.      Jay Peak (+5)

Jay Peak is one of the best in the east and it got to 100% open this weekend which saw clear skies for the first time in a while.

2.      Wildcat (+2)

Wildcat is also 100% open and has some of the best snow in New Hampshire while also having the best ungroomed terrain in the state.

3.      Killington (+2)

With over 140 trails open, The Beast had its Subaru Winterfest this past weekend which was a huge success.

4.      Sugarbush (-2)

Sugarbush continues to be one of the best ski areas in the east and is almost completely open.

5.      Saddleback (-2)

Saddleback is basically 100% open and with the views off the summit, it is the best place to ski in Maine.

6.      Bretton Woods (-5)

Bretton Woods may have dropped five spots but is still one of the best options as they are just touching up on a few areas of the mountain while also almost being 100% open.

7.      Sunday River (=)

Sunday River has everything west of Spruce Peak open and has recovered quite well from the disastrous December.

8.      Bolton Valley (+4)

Bolton Valley continues to get better and better as the new year goes on and it is only a matter of time before they are 100% open.

9.      Stowe (-1)

Over 100 trails are open, and Stowe still has the goods across all areas.

10.  Loon (-1)

With clear skies moving in this week, Loon offers some of the most scenic views in New Hampshire.

11.  Okemo (+2)

Okemo is still a very good option even though a lot of the trails on the Jackson Gore side have been closed.

12.  Stratton (+2)

Stratton got up over 90 trails open this weekend and has some of the best snow in southern Vermont.

13.  Cannon (+2)

Look for Cannon to open up the summit of Mittersill this weekend and has opened up a lot of terrain on the Front 5.

14.  Mad River Glen (+2)

Mad River Glen is one of the best places to ski right now and has most of their terrain open.

15.  Waterville Valley (-4)

Waterville Valley had an interesting week as the snow is still good, but they closed a few trails.

16.  Sugarloaf (-6)

Sugarloaf had a tough start to the week, but they have built their trail count up to more than 100.

17.  Smuggler’s Notch (+2)

While they might not have as much open as they did a few weeks ago, Smuggs still offers some of the best skiing in Vermont.

18.  Mount Snow (+3)

Mount Snow reached a new high for trail count this week and has all of the Sunbrook Area open.

19.  Ragged (NR)

While it may not be well known, Ragged has a lot to offer from solid groomers to snow packed glades.

20.  Pleasant Mountain (-2)

Pleasant Mountain is still having a great year, especially after the chairlift problem they had at the beginning of the year.

21.  Berkshire East (+3)

Berkshire East is still the top option in Southern New England but Wachusett, Mohawk, and Jiminy Peak are right there behind them.

22.  Pico (NR)

Pico is nearly 100% open and definitely has less crowds than the nearby Killington.

23.  Gunstock (-1)

Gunstock has great views of Winnipesaukee and just hosted Methodology over the weekend.

24.  Magic Mountain (NR)

One of the independent gems in Vermont, Magic Mountain has a lot of soul and a lot of great skiing.

25.  Sunapee (-8)

Sunapee has had a good week and still has great views and the only ski through lighthouse in New England.
