Jay Peak was sold to Pacific Group Resorts in an auction Wednesday. Pacific Group Resorts bought the mountain for $76 million after originally submitting a bid at $58 million.
All season passes will be honored for this year, including the Indy Pass but it remains to be seen if it will continue to be a part of it past the 2022-2023 ski season as it would no longer be an independently owned mountain.
PGR's Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer said Christian Knapp said in a tweet "We recognize the staff knows far more about Jay than we do. Our immediate goal is a well-executed transition inspiring confidence in the staff, while maximizing synergies."
Jay Peak joins Wisp Resort, Mount Washington Resort, Wintergreen Resort, Ragged Mountain, and Powderhorn Mountain Resort as resorts owned by Pacific Group Resorts.
