Week 4 saw a ton of mountains open which really changed the rankings, check it all out!
1. Saddleback (+12)
What an opening week for Saddleback which saw 60 of 62 trails open along with a surprise guest appearance by a moose on the trail!
2. Stratton (+2)
Stratton gets a high ranking this week after it saw over 50 additional trails open after having opening day pushed back twice.
3. Killington (-1)
Over 100 trails during week four is quite the feat for Killington after the Killington Cup ended. The only parts of the mountain to not open were South Ridge and Bear Mountain.
4. Sugarloaf (-3)
Sugarloaf saw a lot of trail expansion this week and get dropped by no fault of their own in the rankings.
5. Cannon (+3)
The top mountain in New Hampshire is Cannon which saw almost all upper mountain and main mountain trails open.
6. Magic Mountain (NR)
Opening weekend saw 40+ trails and endless powder at the independent resort with limited lift lines.
7. Jay Peak (-4)
Jay Peak has a majority of trails open on the Jet terrain and got some of the learning trails open.
8. Loon (+8)
One of the top mountains in New Hampshire had a good week with terrain opening up almost every single day.
9. Okemo (-4)
Okemo saw roughly 45 trails open this week with the Solitude area getting open with a considerable amount of trails.
10. Mad River Glen (+4)
Another mountain with a great opening weekend with the Single Chair and Sunnyside Chair open which is tremendous for early season.
11. Sunday River (-4)
A good week by Sunday River saw North Peak, Spruce, and Barker open trails which expanded trail count to over 40 trails.
12. Bretton Woods (-6)
Bretton Woods continued to open terrain around the Gondola with the Bens and Bretton’s Wood adding to the Zephyr terrain.
13. Waterville Valley (-4)
Getting top to bottom open was important for Waterville Valley and snowmaking should help expand terrain in the future.
14. Stowe (-4)
Stowe drops at no fault of their own here as they saw continuous terrain open on the Fourrunner Side and a learning area at Spruce.
15. Smuggler’s Notch (=)
Smuggler’s Notch got Madonna open this weekend which added to the already existing terrain open on Sterling Mountain.
16. Mount Snow (+1)
A new general manager and most of the terrain open on the North Face saw everything except Ripcord open.
17. Gunstock (+6)
After a slow start to the season Gunstock is open top to bottom along with some night skiing trails.
18. Wildcat (-6)
Wildcat is open top to bottom with Catapult to Bobcat or Cheetah along with the Snowcat learning slopes.
19. Bromley (+6)
Southern Vermont does not get as much snow as northern Vermont but Bromley has had a good start to the season considering the weather.
20. Berkshire East (=)
The top mountain in southern New England is Berkshire East and they had the best opening week of all of the region.
21. Ragged (+6)
Typical opening weekend for Ragged getting green trails open from summit to base.
22. Crotched (NR)
Crotched opened for the season with three different ways down the mountain and remains one of the better early season options in Southern New Hampshire.
23. Jiminy Peak (NR)
Jiminy Peak with another strong open to the season similar to Berkshire East and will be closed during the week.
24. Sunapee (+5)
Top to bottom with Blast Off and Bonanza along with the learning center open made it a good week for Sunapee with the only concern being early season traffic on the trails,
25. Burke (-1)
Opening Saturday, Burke saw 18 trails open and powder everywhere.
26. Bolton Valley (-8)
Originally opening with limited terrain, Bolton Valley saw more and more terrain open as the weekend went on.
27. Pats Peak (+3)
Another good early season option in Southern New Hampshire, Cyclone, Duster, and East Wind provided multiple ways off the summit.
28. Sugarbush (-17)
The new Heaven’s Gate Quad installation is significantly hindering their ability to open terrain and once it is completed then Sugarbush will shoot up the list.
29. Wachusett (-3)
Wachusett has 10 trails open top to bottom providing space to spread out.
30. Catamount (NR)
Another southern New England mountain makes the cut as Catamount opened with eight trails.
