After another great week across the region which saw powder days from Rhode Island to Vermont and a shakeup at the top of the rankings.

1.        Saddleback (+2)

2.        Killington (=)

3.        Mad River Glen (+1)

4.        Stowe (+3)

5.        Jay Peak (-4)

Saddleback jumps up to the top spot this week after reaching the 100% open mark while Killington and Mad River Glen continue to have strong seasons. Stowe gets a boost after nearly reaching the 100% open mark and 36 inches of snowfall in the last week. Jay Peak drops after wind hold caused most of the upper mountain to be closed during the week and snowmaking on the Jet caused trails to close.

8.        Smugglers Notch (-2)

9.        Waterville Valley (+6)

10.   Okemo (+4)

Sunday River and Bretton Woods had tremendous weeks as powder refills happened almost every day. Smuggler’s Notch had to close Sterling Mountain for a day. Waterville Valley opened up Wayne Wong Way to get to 100% open while Okemo remains the top option in southern Vermont.

13.   Pico (-3)

14.   Sugarbush (-1)

15.   Black Mountain NH (+1)

Brackett Basin is open at Sugarloaf making it a top option in the region while Pico drops due to other mountains receiving more snow. Black Mountain in New Hampshire continues its resurrection season as it jumps into the top 15 with over 55 trails open.

16.   Magic Mountain (+3)

17.   Cannon (-12)

18.   Stratton (-1)

19.   Bolton Valley (+2)

20.   Sunapee (+3)

Magic Mountain is another independent option which offers endless powder and no lift lines while Cannon drops drastically this week after the loss of the Peabody Quad. Bolton Valley spun the Wilderness Quad again while Sunapee also reached 100% open.

21.   Pleasant Mountain (+6)

22.   Wildcat (-4)

23.   Gunstock (+3)

24.   Bromley (-4)

25.   Mount Snow (-3)

Pleasant Mountain nearly has 40 trails open and most off the Sunnyside area while Wildcat drops a little. Gunstock hops ahead of Bromley and Mount Snow as they reached 100% open and offer terrain for all types of skiers including groomers, glades, and terrain parks.

27.   Mount Abram (+3)

28.   Burke (=)

29.   Black Mountain ME (NR)

30.   Middlebury Snowbowl (NR)

Cranmore opened glades on Monday while Mount Abram opened all but one trail. Black Mountain of Maine reached 100% open this week while the Middlebury Snowbowl opened Bailey Falls Chair for the first time in two years.

 

Biggest Jump: Waterville Valley (15 to 9) and Pleasant Mountain (27 to 21)

Biggest Drop: Cannon (5 to 17)

New To Rankings: Black Mountain ME, Middlebury Snowbowl

Dropped From Rankings: Berkshire East, Ragged
