With powder days in the White Mountains with variable results in Southern New England the rankings saw a big of a shakeup this week.

1.        Jay Peak (+2)

2.        Killington (-1)

3.        Saddleback (-1)

4.        Mad River Glen (=)

5.        Cannon (+5)

Jay Peak hops up to the top spot as the Jay Cloud continues to pummel the mountain with snow while Killington and Saddleback received constant refills this week. Mad River Glen gets back some of the snowpack they lost while Cannon surges up the rankings while having Mittersill nearly 100% open while seeing DJ’s Tramline and Kinsman Glades open.

6.        Smuggler’s Notch (+13)

7.        Stowe (=)

8.        Sunday River (+3)

9.        Bretton Woods (+4)

10.   Pico (-1)

The newest number of the 100% Open Club is Smuggler’s Notch and they jumped up the rankings as Stowe follows behind them with a very similar week. Sunday River also saw some glades open while Bretton Woods got most of the Rosebrook Glades open. Pico continues to have a good year but drops one spot due to the great week Smuggs, Sunday River, and Bretton Woods just did.

11.   Loon (+3)

12.   Sugarloaf (-7)

13.   Sugarbush (+2)

14.   Okemo (-8)

15.   Waterville Valley (-7)

Moving up a few spots is Loon who jumps Sugarloaf, Okemo, and Waterville Valley after the White Mountains saw nearly 8 inches of snow. Sugarbush jumps up a few spots but is still hindered by lift trouble. Okemo stays ahead of Waterville Valley by having almost all trails open while Waterville Valley offers everything except Wayne Wong Way open.

16.   Black Mountain NH (+2)

17.   Stratton (-5)

18.   Wildcat (+7)

19.   Magic Mountain (-2)

20.   Bromley (+4)

If you said Black Mountain is one of the top options in the Mount Washington Valley area two years ago, we would’ve been shocked, but now it is seeing a revival under Indy Pass as the snowmaking upgrades have proven necessary and worth it. Stratton drops at no fault of its own but Wildcat is up to over 30 trails even with two of their lifts being down. Magic Mountain drops slightly and Bromley jumps up with all trails being open.

21.   Bolton Valley (-1)

22.   Mount Snow (-1)

23.   Sunapee (-1)

24.   Cranmore (+4)

25.   Berkshire East (-2)

Bolton Valley has everything open except for trials off the Wilderness Quad while Mount Snow continues to have most of their terrain open. Cranmore has all non-glades trails open and jumps Berkshire East after receiving 8 inches in the last 72 hours.

26.   Gunstock (+1)

27.   Pleasant Mountain (-1)

28.   Burke (+2)

29.   Ragged (NR)

30.   Mount Abram (-1)

Gunstock and Pleasant Mountain flip as they mostly remain idle this week while Burke gets a bump up in the rankings after Attitash is dropped. Ragged joins the rankings with terrain for all types of skiers off both peaks while Mount Abram stays in the rankings after nearly becoming 100% open over the weekend.
