Happy Earthquake Monday, here’s the newest Top 30!
1. Killington (+1)
2. Saddleback (+3)
3. Jay Peak (-2)
4. Mad River Glen (-1)
5. Sugarloaf (+4)
Killington and Saddleback hop Jay Peak while all three offer a wide variety of groomer runs while also having a lot of natural terrain open. Mad River Glen slips to four as the snowpack has worn down a little causing the closure of the Partridge trail. Sugarloaf gets into the top five with over 100 trails open and some of the best skiing in Maine.
6. Okemo (+1)
7. Stowe (+1)
8. Waterville Valley (+4)
9. Pico (+2)
10. Cannon (+3)
All five mountains moved up while Okemo remains ahead of Stowe as they have similar terrain open at the moment and it does not cost to park at Okemo. Waterville Valley just hosted the 2025 Toyota Waterville Freestyle Cup and had a tremendous weekend. Pico remains at 100% open while Cannon gained more terrain on Mittersill including The Saddle which allows skier access to the top without needing to take a lift at Mittersill.
11. Sunday River (-7)
12. Stratton (-6)
13. Bretton Woods (-3)
14. Loon (=)
15. Sugarbush (+3)
Sunday River and Stratton drop a lot here and that’s mainly because there are better options right now and that’s not to discredit each of them either. Bretton Woods stays ahead of Loon while having nearly the entire mountain open including glades off the Stickney side. Sugarbush moves up this week after having all of their terrain open.
16. Attitash (=)
17. Magic Mountain (+2)
18. Black Mountain NH (+7)
19. Smugglers Notch (-2)
20. Bolton Valley (-5)
Attitash stays ahead of the bunch for now but for how long is the question. Magic Mountain and Black Mountain are charging up the rankings while offering good terrain with a mix of great community vibes. Smuggler’s Notch and Bolton Valley have had good weeks but are definitely more crowded than Magic and Black.
21. Mount Snow (-1)
22. Sunapee (=)
23. Berkshire East (=)
24. Bromley (=)
25. Wildcat (+2)
Mount Snow stays ahead of Sunapee due to the variety of terrain they offer and the Carintha side offers great parks for park rats. Wildcat moves up after having another good week with almost half the mountain open. After a rough start to the season it looks like Wildcat is finally getting their footing.
26. Pleasant Mountain (=)
27. Gunstock (-6)
28. Cranmore (=)
29. Mount Abram (NR)
30. Burke (-1)
Dropping six spots is Gunstock due to other mountains being able to open more terrain. Mount Abram jumps back into the rankings after having almost three fourths of the mountain open while Maine is one of the better places to ski right now.
