Week 10 Top 25



1.      Sugarbush (=)

Sugarbush has been sitting close to 100% open this entire week and it feels like it’s been snowing on and off the entire week up there which helps Sugarbush retain the top spot.

2.      Smuggler’s Notch (+8)

The wait is over, Madonna is finally open, and the more impressive part is that most of the mountain is open. Almost everything on Madonna and Sterling is open while Morse will likely open more soon.

3.      Saddleback (+13)

With more than 565 acres of terrain open, Saddleback is the top option for skiing in Maine and is nearly 100% open and will likely get there very soon.

4.      Killington (-1)

The Skyship Gondola is open, and snow has been falling as of late. Bear Mountain is also open which takes a little bit of the crowd from the main side of the mountain.

5.      Stowe (=)

Stowe keeps opening trails and now some of the main trails are also opening up like Goat and Starr while Mansfield is nearing 100% open.

6.      Waterville Valley (-4)

Waterville Valley has been really consistent with their conditions all season long and recently just got 50 trails open and remains the top option in New Hampshire.

7.      Okemo (-1)

Okemo opened up a ton of terrain on Jackson Gore and the South Face area and both are can’t miss right now.

8.      Mad River Glen (+10)

When the snow starts falling, Mad River Glen becomes one of the best ski areas in New England. They rely heavily on natural snow and are almost 100% open right now.

9.      Jay Peak (+14)

This has been a really good week for Jay Peak as they have 93% of their terrain open and got a lot of Jay Clouds (snow only at Jay Peak) which has helped them a lot.

10.  Bolton Valley (NR)

Bolton Valley has opened up so much terrain as of late that they are also almost completely open and also recently opened Timberline Peak.

11.  Stratton (-3)

Stratton keeps opening up trails in the Sun Bowl Area while also having some of the best snow in Vermont.

12.  Sunday River (-8)

Sunday River is still one of the better mountains in Eastern New England and just has so much to offer.

13.  Sugarloaf (-4)

With the storms earlier in the week, Sugarloaf has opened up a lot of the upper mountain trails and is still a top destination.

14.  Loon (-3)

The second ranked mountain in New Hampshire has been very consistent so far this year and Timbertown has proven to be a great addition.

15.  Mount Snow (-3)

Mount Snow has almost all of its main trails open and offers great top to bottom skiing along with the terrain parks at Carintha.

16.  Bretton Woods (-3)

Bretton Woods opened up Two Miles Home and the Stickney Glades today which really adds some challenge to the mountain as the glades are really good at Bretton Woods.

17.  Cannon (-3)

Cannon got a few more trails at the top of the mountain open while also having Hardscrabble make its season debut.

18.  Wildcat (+3)

Wildcat got its first big storm in what feels like forever and was able to triple their trail count with a lot more natural snow trails.

19.  Berkshire East (-4)

Berkshire East remains the best option for skiing in Southern New England.

20.  Pats Peak (-13)

Pats Peak remains 100% open, but a lot of other places received a lot of snow which is why they drop on our list.

21.  Sunapee (-2)

Sunapee continues to add a few trails while also having some of the best views in the east.

22.  Gunstock (-5)

Gunstock has remained mostly the same this week and still offers some high quality skiing in New Hampshire.

23.  Pleasant Mountain (-3)

Although it has not been an easy season in terms of lift operation, Pleasant Mountain has been powering through and getting creative while still offering great snow.

24.  Catamount (=)

Catamount currently has 23 trails open and sits on the boarder of New York and Massachusetts which puts it in a unique spot versus the rest of the state.

25.  Bromley (-3)

Bromley has opened up a lot of trails as of late and the sun mountain even opened up some of the glades.
